Product Overview

The MDM Migration Accelerator is engineered to support the smooth transition of Informatica On-prem MDM from on-premises deployments to Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform, with a focus on SAAS version of Master Data Management software.

This solution enhances the migration process by automating critical activities, enabling quicker and more precise migrations while minimizing risks, reducing downtime, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Problem context

Enterprises migrating from Informatica PowerCenter to IICS face massive complexity in assessing, converting, and validating thousands of interdependent mappings, workflows, and transformations — a process that is slow, error-prone, and costly when done manually.
 
To accelerate migration, reduce risk, and ensure functional parity in the cloud, a dedicated Migration Factory/Accelerator is essential to automate discovery, conversion, testing, and governance at scale.

Conducts a comprehensive assessment of existing Informatica PowerCenter workflows, mappings, survivorship, hirearchies and configurations to prepare them for migration.

The discovery and metadata scanner performs a comprehensive metadata analysis to capture details of business entities, rules, hierarchies, survivorship, components, and parameters, and integrations while also generating a complexity score.
Effort Estimation
Generates a detailed effort estimate based on the assessment, Inclusion/Exclution and providing a clear understanding of time, resources, and tasks needed for the migration.
